I'm going to have to jump on the Siri bandwagon. I use it to set a timer for cookies or a 45 minute alarm for naps. When I'm driving and I am smacked with the sudden realization that I forgot to put conditioner on the shopping list I can add it to the list with the press of one button and a few words. Does she occasionally mis-hear what I am saying? Especially if I am adding a brand name item to the list? Yes, but is it better than being in the shower on a Wednesday morning and realizing I don't have conditioner? Oh dear heavens, YES

There is one of these in my mom's utensil drawer and I have been fascinated by it for months... My mom doesn't even know where it came from. Looks like I'm making corn next time I see her :)

Me too... I've never cored iceberg any differently. When I was young, my dad would slam the head of lettuce for me because I didn't have the strength.

The strawberries are coming in so fact from the backyard garden I had to make a homemade strawberry-bourbon milkshake the other night with the over-rip strawberries. It was difficult, but some had to take the hit.

Not only do I go the same route as Irry when I have a zested lemon and no need for the juice (squeeze it into ice water and enjoy), but I also resolve the problem by zesting every lemon I use, even if the recipe just calls for the juice, and freezing the zest. Then when I need zest, but not juice, I can take it out of the freezer, measure what I need and viola!

Hopefully, your situation will be like mine, and I was eatting solid (although soft) food just over 25 hours. I highly recommend lots of water, no straws or bubbly drinks (dry sockets) I made a pot of broccoli cheddar soup (with cauliflower puree instead of a lot of milk) and sipped that. It was more substantial than a clear broth, and (with the broccoli super finely chopped) required no chewing.

Also, soft stuff, ie scrambled eggs for dinner on your 3 or 4 night (let them cool a bit obviously) are much easier to eat than you might think.

Would you like to come help me design my apt? This is my favorite submission so far. Love the bed and the jewelry staging area. Would love to know where you got your busts, are they the velveteen ones from craft stores?

Arrabiata sauce, like this one http://corkandspoon.wordpress.com/2012/02/27/dinner-in-15-minutes-arrabiata-sauce/, is a great spin on a basic tomato sauce. Its easy and perfect with whole wheat penne. I really like adding flaked crab meat and broccoli to it, if you want to add a bit of protein and more veggies.
