I understand your situation. I would suggest picking out a modern wallpaper print in a mix of light yellow and white. I don't mean those outdated wallpapers, but something with a big graphic design on it. Think along the lines of Candice Olsen. Then you can punctuate the wall with nice print so the wall can enjoy some balance. You have a light natural finish on the table. And as much as "white" would make the room airy, it may turn this wall into a clinical or empty space. Rochelle's January Cure: My First Week January Cure Diaries |

For newbies like me to DIY projects, did you happen to take a photo of the hardware from other side of ceiling? Would love to see it. One Simple Idea: Put A Bolt In Your Ceiling |

I have used my sons car seats past their expiration date. There is no apparent damage and weakening of the foam. If there was, then I would get rid of them. Beyond that, I would save my money to buy a good convertible seat when they reach 4 or 5 years old. If the seat you have appears to have deflated foam, cracks in the frame and the belts no longer stay attched in the lock, then get another seat. Hand-Me-Down Carseat from First Baby to Second? What a great blast from the past. I love it and the decor, although the 70's is not for me, I gotta give Tracy and Marty props for doing the 70's Right! I had flashbacks of the coverlet because that type of knit, was so popular. The wood frames and other accessories just brought back so many memories and not a smidge of avocado green or laminate in sight. Tracy & Marty's "Retro Metro" House Boat House Tour |

Congratulations Christopher and Merete! I love this vacation home and the entire premise of actual home ownership is truly divine. I can understand having a small home to visit when you want to get out of the city and this house completely fits the bill. Christopher & Merete's Truly Tiny Home on the Range House Tour |

I love the kids play room. Will you please share a close-up photo of what appears to be a cardboard building in the corner of the room. I would love to see more detail of this. It looks homemade. Is it? The Roeder's Modern Life is Beautiful House Tour |

Gift it to someone who you know would really deserve it. Otherwise, bite the bullet and sell it cheap. When it comes to recouping money on expensive furniture, think about how much your could sell it for the next day after the purchase and this will help you with future purchase decisions. I would recommend you check out Step 2. They have a fort they call the Clubhouse Climber that runs about $590. If you sign up for the newsletter, sometimes they offer free shipping. They offer durable, little-kid friendly play options. I tried to find the Clubhouse Climber on Craigslist, but had no luck. My sons played in this at the local nursery and loved it. There are other options available from Step 2 which don't require much space in height. Check them out http://www.step2.com/c/Outdoor-Play/?&pricefilter=4&showall=1.
