About the hot water...I tend to agree, it's way too hot here in Europe but the minimum temperature (67c?) is designed to kill legionella bacteria which would otherwise flourish in a water tank.

LED lights are really good now. We have them throughout the kitchen and for outside lights...only 1 to 2 watts each and longevity is huge. Surface Mounted LEDs seem the brightest (the little squares). Also just started using eco halogen in the living room. They make zero difference in lighting effect compared to normal, but use 30% less energy.

Nothing heats this house like the wood stove....which I prefer because it doesn't send me bills =) and I can make it as tropically warm as I want in the winter. Extremely nice.

No way... what the TV would be "adhering" to, would be a thin layer of paint or plaster.... so however well adhered it would be, the layers that make up the wall would not tolerate much weight in a specific area the size of a credit card. Although, I don't doubt that the little bit of paint that comes off the wall will be very well adhered to the geckskin plate =P Thus living up to its promise!

May I just say...that Ikea chaise longue/sofa by the name of Kramfors is of the bycast leather variety. It is a really thin leather that has been split and laminated with plastic. It wears out pretty fast. Ikea know about it, and the new series of Kramfors is proper thick grained leather and your guarantee entitles you to change if you so wish. 10 year guarantee.
