First responders are actually trained (or should be trained) to also check closets and small areas during a fire, especially if they know there are possibly children living in the area. A closet is a very likely place a child to be if they are scared. I agree, it's probably better if there is a window, and leave any doors open too.

I haven't had cable my entire life, so my Roku was a huge step up for me! I really love it and mainly use it for my Netflix subscription and Amazon Instant. The only issue I have with it is that since it uses my WiFi connection, I can't use the internet on my laptop at the same time (it slows down the connection too much), which isn't even really a big deal. I recommend Roku to so many people, it's great!

Definitely a city mouse. I agree with several comments...it's the suburbs that are the worst (at least where I live). I am currently on the very border of suburbs and the city (Chicago) and always find myself longing to be downtown. While I love to visit "the country," I would never be able to live there. Who the hell wants to drive 10 minutes to pick up a gallon of milk??

Love the first map. I found a similar one a while ago from Baby&Child Restoration Hardware that has been on my wish list: http://www.rhbabyandchild.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=rhbc_prod241259&categoryId=rhbc_cat102124

The interior seems nice and cozy, but there is no way I could live with those vines surrounding the house and patio area. Think of all the bugs living in them (which can probably make their way inside...)! Yuck!

:) I love seeing people's pets almost as much as seeing their homes.

The paperclip one actually looks like it would be REALLY easy to lose. Also, why does anyone even use flash drives when things like DropBox exist? So much easier.

I like what you guys did with the place, considering it is university housing. I'd like to see some bigger and bolder art on the wall with the TV in the living room...it might take the eye away from a big black rectangle.

I'm usually not into "rustic" style, but this is done very well. Nice job! The kitchen is my favorite. To chime in with everyone else....the floors are AWESOME. Full house tour please!

There is a really great art selection for sale on their website. I would use some of the "children's art" for my own home. Cool stuff.

Even though there does seem to be too much "stuff," it's still my favorite small space so far. You still managed to keep it looking organized. Oh, and I absolutely LOVE your bedding...where is it from?

I hate sleeping in complete darkness. I usually use a flameless candle with a timer to fall asleep comfortably.
