First responders are actually trained (or should be trained) to also check closets and small areas during a fire, especially if they know there are possibly children living in the area. A closet is a very likely place a child to be if they are scared. I agree, it's probably better if there is a window, and leave any doors open too.

Definitely a city mouse. I agree with several comments...it's the suburbs that are the worst (at least where I live). I am currently on the very border of suburbs and the city (Chicago) and always find myself longing to be downtown. While I love to visit "the country," I would never be able to live there. Who the hell wants to drive 10 minutes to pick up a gallon of milk??

I like what you guys did with the place, considering it is university housing. I'd like to see some bigger and bolder art on the wall with the TV in the living room...it might take the eye away from a big black rectangle.

I'm usually not into "rustic" style, but this is done very well. Nice job! The kitchen is my favorite. To chime in with everyone else....the floors are AWESOME. Full house tour please!

I hate sleeping in complete darkness. I usually use a flameless candle with a timer to fall asleep comfortably.
