this tour makes me realize that I spend way too much time looking at home decor...I know where 90% of those items came from - or at least drew inspiration from. Because of this, the design element looks too common to me.

I'm puffy heart, head-over-heels, 'his' and 'her' towels, let's grow old together, prime time, in love...with this apartment. I have quite literally wanted this my ENTIRE life. Not that my opinion is new or unique...
I will say, the couches and chairs make me sad...

i <3 the neon trend! I've been trying to figure out something to do in our spare bedroom/home office. It's currently painted a colonial blue and I don't want to repaint since we're renting. This post inspired me to incorporate neon pinks with a natural organic vibe. Thanks AT, love!

We owned a home and moved to Chicago to rent. I think about the pros and cons a lot. For me, I could never own a home in Chicago; it would be waaaaay too expensive. So that's the biggest PRO to renting. I also love that I don't have to shovel snow (even though it hardly snows here), I don't have to pick weeds, I don't have to clean gutters, or pay Homeowners Association dues and follow their stupid/arbitrary rules. Cons to renting are really that you pay so much for rent and never get a tangible reward and that you can't make all the home adjustments that you'd like.

I live in Chicago, 2br 1 bath about 100 sq feet and pay $1300. I also have a 100lb dog which really puts a restriction on where we can live but we found an awesome place; completely upgraded with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and no parking is no issue. We're paying less than we should, really. I'd pay as much as $2000 given the perfect location and apartment details. I looked at 32 apartments before we got this one.
