Yeah, I haven't used a top sheet since moving out on my own 14 years ago. Cleaning a duvet cover is just about as easy as cleaning a top sheet, and all my top sheets were ever good for before I just called it quits was getting tangled around my legs and then ending up on the floor anyway (which seems way dirtier than something that remains on the bed).

I actually prefer a natural color to my lighting, and finding cooler-than-marketed colors is frustrating at times when the only thing available at stores are "warm" bulbs.

I'm absolutely getting it. If the NSA wants to know what I eat for dinner, whatever, they can be bored with my random pizza shots that I choose not to post online. (Or, I believe people need to take off their tinfoil hats. You decide.)

Yeah, they put tile into our duplex and the grout lines next to the trim are not straight at all. 4 years on, the white has yellowed dramatically, so I'm faced with the nightmare of painting the trim & doors while struggling to avoid the grout as much as possible. Oy.

If I had a window in my front door, I'd love that extra light, but I would go with that frosting-film stuff that I have on my bathroom window right now (because I too enjoy lounging about in my underpants).

I honestly prefer Vine, though I would love an option to edit there. However, I feel like 15 seconds on IG leads to a lot of "dead air" and that the forced creativity of the 6-second limit on Vine is fantastic.

I can't wait for the update that shows the upper area where the boys stay! I have extended family that don't understand how I can think a 2-bedroom ~1000 sq ft place could ever be big enough for a family of 4 (2 kids is all I plan on having), so showing them how a family of 5 make it work in a little over 650 would be wonderful!

I've only been aware of them for the past decade or so, but I too have been waiting for them to come to market in a way that wouldn't destroy a remodeling budget.

A lot of my personal exposure to things in the '80s were holdovers from the '70s, so that was what skewed me toward the decade before the photo was actually taken. Good job those that pegged it correctly!

Yes, I too am a 1981 baby, and I am also swooning in nostalgia while noting the absence of a few of my personal faves like Popples, Ninja Turtles (my LIFE at 7 years old, y'all), Rainbow Brite and Care Bears. I miss my old-school not-pictured Polly Pockets - much like the old style Little People, I feel they were more fun in my own life when they were more "dangerous" as choking hazards. And @discerning - Barney the Dinosaur wasn't introduced until 1992. I know that well because by then I was babysitting and I wanted to constantly yell "MAKE IT STOP!" whenever he was on.

I got that from AT&T as well for the sole purpose of finally being able to place the television where it "belonged" in my rental duplex (since the landlord wouldn't allow access to the attic for a line drop). It's been a lifesaver - I was able to begin the process of remodeling my whole living space to what I had seen it in my mind the day we first toured it. Now, as far as exploring the "move the TV here or there" aspect of the wireless receiver? Pfft, whatever, it's serving its purpose and, after much struggling and gnashing of teeth, I was finally was able to hide all the other cords connecting up to my TV away, so there's not a chance I'm moving that thing again unless needed. Grrr, other cords!

I have a similar "living room walls full of doors/fireplace" layout in my duplex (just that mine lacks that back wall with windows where the previous owners had hung the TV in your photos - my space just keeps going back from there) and where to position my furniture vexed me for years. The most recent change, however, seemed to just click with the space, and people visiting usually confirm that my love for it isn't just me being crazy. I have my couch where your windowed section is on the far side of the fireplace (floating though, because, as I mentioned, no back wall in my doop, just more space), I have a large area rug with a coffee table, ottoman and a couple of small seating solutions taking up most of the middle space, and then my TV is on the opposite wall, and the flow works pretty well for my own poorly-designed-1980s-duplex space. Now, I don't know the size of your TV or if you have any media storage that make the suggestion not work so well, but it's just food for thought from someone else with the always-fun fireplace-next-to-a-doorway setup.
