About 35 years ago I was living in a small house where the toilet room was seperated from the actual bathroom, and it was unfortunately situated on the "dark" side of the house.
One day, on a sudden impulse, I went to the grocery shop and bought several rolls of cooking foil and WALLPAPERED THE WHOLE TOILET ROOM... including the ceiling...!
I said not a word when my kids got home from school and waited for the first one to go in there and get a surprise. Well, can you imagine it...? Squeals, yells, laughter and running footsteps by first one kid then the other assured me that they'd got the surprise of their lives and it was A GOOD ONE...! When any new visitor asked to use the toilet I never told them what to expect, but I sure did get a lot of brilliant reactions and comments about it... one being that it was "just like Santa's Magic Grotto" My kids now have families of their own and I've heard them still talking about our "magic" toilet to their children. My only regret is that I never took any photos of it....!

I had a very comfortable beige sectional for years and really got my moneysworth out of it. Then I decided to redecorate my living room and gave away my sectional in favour of a pair of new couches that gave my room a different look.
Now I wish I'd never done it...! I miss my sectional so much that I'm seriously thinking of selling the new ones and buying myself another sectional. It was really just perfect for my small home and I regretted giving it away after only a month or so.

DIREC79.....I use these 3m hooks all over my home. Did you leave them long enough to adhere before you hung something on the hooks? I usually leave it until the next day. There are also stronger ones that you should use for heavier objects. I'm a long term renter so I dont want to be leaving marks on walls and inside cupboards whenever I move out.

I've been renting my small Government-owned Seniors unit for over 20 years here in Perth, Western Australia. I love my little home and have done lots of decorating over the years and have a stockpile of decorating magazines and books to inspire me. I always loved the look of the all-white homes but never had the courage to do it to my own home.....until now...!
In the last couple of months I have been working my way through the unit, painting all the walls from cream to white, and then after moving furniture around a little bit I feel that I'm living in a whole new place....... and I LOVE IT...!
I just can't understand why I didn't do it much sooner. Even my (mostly white) furniture looks different and I have lots of touches of colour from my extensive book collection and cream couches and taupe home-sewn cushions. I'm in my 70's and I do all my own sewing, painting and gardening myself because I LOVE to do it and it gives me a lot of satisfaction.
I have also just finished painting my kitchen, bathroom and laundry white too and feel so happy now that I finally have an all-white home of my own...! It all looks bigger and brighter than I ever realised it could look...! Don't hesitate... be brave and plunge in.
