I agree with those that suggested lining the opposing walls in the nook. perhaps hanging rods on each side in the nook and then extending with drawers/shelf storage out to the window along the long wall. that would keep the hanging clothes partially out of sight and have more of a furniture feel to the pieces that extend into the room. you could also make use of the higher space in the nook with shelves in almost any configuration as long as it leaves enough headroom for you to stand in the closet. you could add a curtain to close off that area if you prefer that look.

I absolutely love it. I had seen a few of these photos before on houzz and had flagged them for an idea book. i never put them together as coming from the same house though. After seeing them all together I can easily say that this is my favorite house by far. Each piece of the pie fits just right. I love the mix of textiles, colors, light, dark, etc.
