Spider plants are not epiphytes (air plants) like Tillandsia are FAILJOLESFAIL, but you can get epiphytic orchids- since you mentioned those. We are experimenting with them, here at Appalachian Tropicals, growing them in shells in our greenhouse and on wood. There are so many fun things you can do with epiphytes!
