God, I am SOOOO glad I can still line dry outside...in the hot south florida sun, which combined with a front load washer and its powerful spin cycle gets my jeans dry within 20min. :) Apartment Therapy Boston | New Documentary: Drying for Freedom, A Film About Clotheslines |

YAY it's about time they joined the rest of the shows and channels offered on Hulu. I ALWAYS am checking out episodes...it allows me to watch what and when i want to...even if a breaking news "break" about swine flu interrupts my regularly scheduled show...i know hulu won't. :) Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Lost and Grey's Anatomy Fans Will Get Their Hulu Fix |

@ asprygal: I never thought to use it as a slicer for anything other than eggs, but I LOVE this idea. :) Thanks Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Mint Grilled Tofu and Egg Slicers Old and New Delicious links for 04.20.09 |

There is something very comforting when I look at the "vintage" egg slicer. I just brings back subtle images of German summers, watching my mom or aunts make potato salad or egg salad, or Sunday mornings past and present. Our Pomeranian is too little to jump up onto beds or sofas. So she's always invited up, but now in her old age (she's 10) she seldom accepts the invite. LOL Yep, we ask her to come sit with us and she looks at us, and declines. LOL Gotta love the lil dog temperament. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Pets On The Furniture In Your House? |

My mom still does this. Ha. And we live in Suburbia (S. FL). The neighbors look at her weird, but it's what she's always done -- even in communist Germany, and it's what she'll keep doing until she can't anymore. :) Gotta love that European heritage. While it looks very organized and clean, life seldom works out to be this cooperative. I like it, but it could lend itself to look even more chaotic if some days are overloaded. And then it would just be unsightly - maybe even cause more stress. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Look! Seven Day Cork Board |

I absolutely love the wine storage inside the fireplace. I'm sure it's not the first time someone thought of this approach, but it's the first time I've ever seen it and I love it. I've known someone who "went" vegetarian for a while - a few years - and switched back to eating meat (not sure what made her switch back). During the time that she was a vegetarian her mood and overall outlook was a lot more pessimistic and mean. She just wasn't always a great person to be around. This became more apparent once she switched back to eating meat. Not instant or like a light switch noticeable, but still evident. I love honey and almond putter - I imagine it's similar to honey with peanut butter, I don't like pb so almond butter is my alternative. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: What Should I Do With This Honey? |

I see that a lot of people have posted their tidbits about Tea. I am also a beginner when it comes too tea consumption. I would like to add: watch Alton Brown Good Eats episode on tea. That's the show that did it for me, it helped me realize that it's not just tea bags and boiling water. Lots of tips mixed in too. I actually found the episode. YAY it's called Trew Brew, 2 parts. I love steamed brown rice from Thai takeout, though I'm not sure if it's guilt free this way, I'm sure they sneak some butter or something in there. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: Help Me Enjoy Brown Rice |

I think you should keep 4, since you plan to rent it out or move soon. People can always create more counter space....chopping board over sink, using a dining table if need be. But it's a lot harder to add burners to a stove. You may not need more that 2, but I know I would NEVER pay for half a stove, even in a tiny Manhattan apt. I would be ok with less cabinets and smaller fridge, but not 2 burners. If possible and it will still save you some space see if you can find a 3 burner stove/cooktop. I've got a reason, how about the simple fact of respecting mother nature? People who just toss their tree on the side of the road - LONG before bulk pickup is due is just such a sorry image. We buy these trees in their glory...proud parents we strap them onto our cars and pay lots of money for them, decorate them to bring out their best features and then a few short weeks later we toss them like a dirty diaper. I am hosting a small themed movie night. We agree on a theme - tonight we've agreed to "old school Disney" (we're in our early 20s) - and everyone who is coming is bringing their pick and we'll sit and watch all of them one after another. should be fun.
