Well, now for some advice that might really help...
ask the hall nicely if it's possible to remove the (peach?) curtains and store them during the wedding- they might require their own staff to handle this for a small extra fee
( like most curtains they're probably jusy hooked onto rings on a rod system-leave the black obviously to work with you theme)
Cover the panels with fabric as suggested, b. and w. damask would be a great choice...for quick set up and take down just make 'banners' of fabric with a dowel stapled to the top and bottom edges-I'd suggest having them hang lower then the panels that are there coming to withing a foot or two of the floor-more then likely you would be able to just hook the top dowl over the top of the panels that are there and the weight of the bottom dowel would allow it to hang straight! Try Ikea for inexpensive fabric!!

I love the fact that ONE bold dramatic shade was chosen for each space and used abundantly, not so sparingly-this paired with b&w and neutral grey gives an open yet dramatic feel-Often people feel that being colorful means cramming as much color as possible into a space and in a small space this can crowd it as much as too much furniture or accesories!!
Because the LR is so large and open and bright, a 'heavier' color actually balances that negative space, and allows you to get away with less other 'stuff' on the walls!!Love It!!

I love a designer who has humour and whimsy and is NOT afraid to use it!! I'ts all about knowing the 'rules' of design and where and when to break them!!

the trick to making a ceiling higher is to keep the floor and ceiling similar in tone, I wouldn't go for a dark ceiling so therefore a light floor would help,I agree with the semi gloss finish on the ceiling-the other problem is that the room is very long so don't go with too strong a color on the side (longest) walls...however one or two accent walls painted with (subtle) vertical stripes will trick the eye into making the space taller( try the D room wall next to the little kitchen half wall!!Keep window treatments vertical as well, not horizontal blinds,ie drapery panels hung from ceiling to floor( more strong verticals) Subtly break up the large floorspace with area rugs, to create smaller 'areas' that feel more proportionate to a lower ceiling( or shorter wall)

I would say this is a hrd one, as it is such a neutral space ANYTHING would work( what doesn't go with white)
Having said that, and the fact that color is such a personal choice, sky's the limit!?I'm not helping am I-I have friends who would ADORE this bathroom as is, white on white..others would LOVE the plum suggestion ( I would not)
Personally I would do a medium to dark grey to make the white pop and keep it very coold and contemporary!

btw ChgoRnrrr, what IS originality in design, we all plagiarize, we all take and recreate..there are some out there who may push boundaries way beyond what others are doing and are termed 'visionaries' but ,trust me, they still take inspiration and idea from other sources...the Romans stole from the Greeks, the Greeks from the Etruscans etc etc....what a great designer does is understand trends, and where to use or not use them, and most importantly understands the client-sometimes 'cutting edge' just doesn't cut it!!

I am in love with this man's work...and he's pretty cute too!
I love the bedroom that was featured on here a few days ago as well-wish I could visit the Dream Home and see for myself! In an age when most people work on a laptop with no paper files and wireless connections, why couldn't this be an office,I think I could manage to spend some time in here!!

As for the oh so negative comments on here from some obviously bitter 'non designer', what the hell!! some of those comments were a bit too personal and way beyond mere design critique! The sight is called Apartment Therapy, not Free Therapy...
