I can't believe all these people who have nothing better to do than to criticize how this post got so many votes! So what if Dana has a blog? It's great, and so is her home, that is why so many people read it and are inspired by it. I hope none of this negativity gets to you, Dana, there will always be people trying to bring others down when they're successful. I have one question to all the people who commented on either the safety of the room or the influence of the blog: Is YOUR home entered in the contest? Are YOU a successful blogger? Hmmm. the motive here may be obviuos.

I don't undersatnd how this became a forum for concerned housewives to put in their two cents. If you like the room, vote. Period.

It's cute. It din't work for me personally because it seems a little... visulally scattered & mismatched. There doesn't seem to be a perticular style, kind of just random furniture from varied different time periods arranged together. It's a nice try for a first apartment.

Although, yes, the "after" images are nice (would have liked more "room" shots instead of just details) I'm saddened to see all the beautiful characteristics of such a lovely home erased. I actually loved all the "befores", with that old wallpaper & cottage feel... You could practically see the Gramma in the kitchen cooking dinner & kids running around. The "afters" make the house look so soul-less & cold, no feeling at all... this leaves me sad.
