I got this for my birthday and was honestly just slightly disappointed with the flavors. The ones in the first book were so so delicious! These don't seem quite as inspired to me, but I should probably make one first before judging :)

About 9 months ago I moved into my own place for the first time. I lived with 4 or 5 people for years before that, and I have to say, it can be really lonely! Most days I love it. I don't wear clothes after work? It's a bonus. But company a few times a week is a must to keep my sanity.

I just thought it was interesting that someone mentioned feeling nervous around FMs, like they're always doing something wrong even if they're trying to be polite. I feel that way too! What is it about vendors that makes them seem/look intimidating? That being said, I'm a loyal supporter and I don't think most of these suggestions are bad.

Gorgeous! Although I don't really understand the painted hardwood thing. Doesn't it just chip over time? It seems that refinishing the hardwood would be a more longterm solution but I don't know.

This was so amazingly delicious and we added spiced rum to it which made one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We paired it with the best veggie burger recipe recently posted and it was a great dinner.

Love all these tips! One thing I've been obsessed with lately are the pre-soaped metal scrubbers? I can't remember what they're called, but they're so great if you don't have a dish washer. I try to rinse all my dirty dishes off so they don't get crusty but honestly, I just forget half the time. They're also great for grease splatters and hard to clean areas.

I would love a kind of explanation-post just laying out how to cook dinner 5 times a week for two without spending hours at the stove/meal planning, and using somewhat intuitive recipes so you're not a slave to a recipe but enjoying the kitchen time. Does that exist?! I want to make nice, homemade meals but it always takes so much active time and so many different ingredients.

I loved that peek of your gorgeous marble! These look fantastic. The only thing is that you can't use the little stuck on bits for a sauce, but I'm sure there's some way around that.
