I love this nursery! Beautiful job!! I am on the hunt for a crib right now and was considering this Olivia model from Walmart- any feedback? How do you and Axel like it? Is the white actually painted wood or laminate? Thanks for your opinion!

I saw on HGTV an idea that looked great, functional and nice looking for this purpose. This woman put up a grid of circular magnets on a plain white wall, the base of the magnet attached to the wall and the opposite side of the magnet attached to that. It looked like a minimalist art piece when not in use, but was functional to hold up her inspiration pieces, as well.

what about a low profile candle arrangement in front of the glass? then add either artwork or a tall vase/ flower arrangement on the top to draw the eye up. i agree on not cluttering.

I painted my doors which look just like yours. After only a month of so of sliding back and forth there's a big line of scratched off paint at the top of one door. I like the idea of burlap. Otherwise, if you do decide on painting, try an extra sealant. That could work.

Jen- You could easily turn this into a jewelry armoir. Add felt to the cubby interiors. I wouldn't remove the door, but perhaps you could add hooks on the inside of the door for necklaces, scarves, etc. And then staining the wood to a much lighter or darker tone could modernize the piece.

This table from Exposureonline.com is intended for a side table, but could serve your purpose as well. (It's one inch over your max size though!) Available in 2 finishes.

Here's the description from the site: This elegant small table has curved legs and an ultra narrow silhouette. Made in Italy of slightly distressed solid beech and maple with a natural wax finish. The full-depth drawer has an antiqued-brass knob. This piece makes a superb nightstand when space is at a premium. Sorry, Air Express not available. 11" wide x 27" high x 28" deep.
