Hi Vanny, I'm glad you're checking out the bike prints. Ours are 11x30" (which fit nicely into one of Ikea's RIBBA frames, btw, which ours are in until we can get them custom framed someday). Wow, thanks folks. Just got back from a weekend camping trip to see these nice comments. To answer a few questions -- Yes, mrsplashypants, the prints are from one of my favorite artists, Taliah Lampert: http://www.bicyclepaintings.com/ The pillows are an old soybean sack I found at a flea market, cut in half and sewn into pillows by an amazingly crafty friend Jackie Bos: http://www.etsy.com/shop/jackiepeppermint We also made the light fixture with the bare edison-style bulbs (on a dimmer) which gives off a great light at night. The grey-blue paint is Behr Gray Area 770F-4 from Home Depot; the blue bookshelf and sofa are from Ikea. The kitchen art, which you can see part of, is a photo of my cousins and I as kids, blown up to about 3x5' and split into 6 11x17" frames. Fun to have it at hip-height next to the sink! Totally adorable and comfortable, it really feels livable! I guess I only gave it a 'cool' because it seems like some place one of my design-oriented friends would have (that I would be envious of, sure) but doesn't floor me and intimidate me. I dont even remember what I voted when I first saw this, but the more I look at it the more I like it. It has a fun, unique character that I'm definitely digging. And it's not (ironically, given the name of the entry) sun-drenched white-on-white, which I'm kind of getting bored with. It looks like fun! I also found something similar, in an all chrome/metal finish with a very large drum shade, from West Elm last summer. Around $99. And trust me, I looked everywhere to NOT buy from West Elm (just my own issues with chain stores) but this was the best I found. Hmm -- I live in a studio and I sort of love the shower-as-closet for guests, meg_ues. I always hate piles of coats on my bed when I have a dinner party because we end up staring at it when we move to the 'living room' after dinner. I bought an Electrolux Pronto (featured here once) at BB&B, but I'm never a fan of much else thought I do have to wander through every six month or so to remind myself that.
