I like the way the bed looks by the window, but I'm certain there is some sort of HVAC unit in the middle section of the millwork built-in behind it (noise) and way too much soot will be coming in through those windows if they are ever open. The soot will come from traffic below or building smoke stacks above depending on how the wind blows. Other than that, I think it looks great! Before & After: Samna Transforms a Studio in 5 Days |

It would probably be easiest to put the master bath back where it originally was (the plumbing is prob already set up), make what was the balcony into your closet, and possibly enlarge it so a wall goes from the the bottom right corner of the bath and straight down so your bdrm will be almost a perfect rectangle. The wasted space is actually a consequence of ADA compliance. Though, ironically, anyone in a wheelchair would not be able to access the loft, much less open up a Murphy bed or pullout sofa. adAPT NYC: The Micro Unit Design Competition Winner |

I have a friend whose large but not obese guest leaned back a little too forcefully on his original Cherner chair, and the back broke off. The guest felt really bad, and of course my friend did not think it was any of his beloved chair's deficiency, but his friend's fault for making it break. How To Stabilize Cherner-Style Chairs? I grew up in a house on a corner lot and it was great because the bus stop was right there and you didn't have to drive down a long alley to get to your garage (it also felt safer to have an exposed garage). On the downside, one night some teenagers drove their car down our side lawn (no trees). Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Would You Live in a Corner Unit or Home? |

I like to make them into a sweet mung bean soup as mentioned above. I also add tapioca pearls (that's how my grandmother would make it for me when I was growing up). Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: More Uses for Mung Beans? |

When you look at the clearance when the door is open and the path of the door swing, you will see that it is no different than a normal door in terms of space being taken up. In fact, this door takes up more space because it goes in the opposite direction too. But if you want a really big looking door, I suppose this is the answer. I went to a Texas public school and remember eating in elementary school things like Frito Pie, Salisbury Steak, Pizza (rectangular slice to fit the tray compartment), Taco Salad, Burger, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and Churros (the long fluted tubes like what they sell in NYC subway stations with ). And there was an ice cream cart - drumsticks and push ups were the most popular. Ice cream was $.25 and only the spoiled kids had parents who gave them money for that.
