I like the way the bed looks by the window, but I'm certain there is some sort of HVAC unit in the middle section of the millwork built-in behind it (noise) and way too much soot will be coming in through those windows if they are ever open. The soot will come from traffic below or building smoke stacks above depending on how the wind blows. Other than that, I think it looks great!

It would probably be easiest to put the master bath back where it originally was (the plumbing is prob already set up), make what was the balcony into your closet, and possibly enlarge it so a wall goes from the the bottom right corner of the bath and straight down so your bdrm will be almost a perfect rectangle.

Another option - move the entry to the master bdrm up so it aligns with the hall linen closet and stair. Make the rectangular area that the orig master toilet was in into a closet (opened from the new master hall, and make the leftover triangular space (possibly enlarge it so the bdrm shape is more rectangular) into a new master bath.

I have a friend whose large but not obese guest leaned back a little too forcefully on his original Cherner chair, and the back broke off. The guest felt really bad, and of course my friend did not think it was any of his beloved chair's deficiency, but his friend's fault for making it break.

It looks great! I think the removal of the munitions in the window above the door also helps!

I grew up in a house on a corner lot and it was great because the bus stop was right there and you didn't have to drive down a long alley to get to your garage (it also felt safer to have an exposed garage). On the downside, one night some teenagers drove their car down our side lawn (no trees).

Oops - forget what I said above. I didn't look at the plans - I thought this was one of those doors with a pivot hinge more towards the middle.

5.5'x7'. On the plus side, I can stand in one spot and do anything from it.

If I had a red brick house with black shutters that matched my neighbor's, I wouldn't go to the trouble of painting my bricks. I would just paint my shutters and trim.

I knew a chef from Naples, and he would say that a fish never sees a cow and vice versa, so why would you put the two together?

I remember buying this issue in Canada a few years ago. I hung onto it for a while - not sure if I still have it.
