I like the plan from Lovethissite. I'd be interested in looking at all of the tickets. Now I wish I'd saved mine because I am trying to remember specific things about long ago shows. I'm making Passover for my mixed family and guests. The New Yorkers are coming here and the grandkids are staying a few days extra for the first time. My friend invited us to gather fresh eggs from her hens. Friday; Brisket, Salmon, asparagus, sweet potato, carrot, prune tzimmes, with lemon and honey, roast asparagus, Fresh strawberries and pineapple, chocolate covered almonds and ginger, macaroons, and my special addition, the sacrificial jello lamb. . Last year we liked pomegranate wine so I got it again. Better get back to work. Happy Holidays All. What Are Your Passover & Easter Plans? |

Whee! That was fun. It will take me multiple viewings to absorb all the splendor amassed by Dixie. Nothing is more fun than excess done right. Like Betsey Johnson's home and Hunt Slonem's pleasure houses, joy exudes from them. Thanks for the tour. Dixie's Latest and Greatest Sensation-Rich Home House Tour |

Your gramps is hilarious, Lornaloo! My parent's friend would say to his wife, "Honey, we need to go to bed so these people can go home." What a great gift from a friend, DIscerning, but only a really intimate friend could step into that job. I strongly agree with Jena and EMM, no drinking and driving ever. A duty of hosting is to be sure that never happens. What Should You Do When Your Guests Won't Leave? Survey |

I really like the wire fencing (cattle panel?) on the deck. We used salvaged thick glass panels to keep the view open, but it is labor intensive to keep it from being an algae farm. This looks functional, economical and practical. Callen & Eli's Artful Treehouse House Tour |

My childhood home of my first twenty years has been sold and the new owners appreciate that it was a loved and happy family home. As I write this, my step siblings are cleaning out the last parts of the house of my adult phase of my mother's life. Last week I was doing that job and have e one more trip to make to the house my children called "Grandma's toy house," it was so stocked with playthings, Saying Farewell to a Home |

That's how ladies looked when I was a small child. These kinds of events were reserved for weddings or major anniversaries, or for upper class ladies, bridge parties. I have collected some of those luncheon sets, little plates with cups, punch bowls, etc, but alas, modern day life does not require them. Now it would be a retro theme party to use them.
