Read the first paragragh, sanssouc1572! It literally says that they lived in a small place before and just moved into a bigger one. I'm sure once they spend more time in their new place their art collection will be able to grow to fill those walls.

An archway doesn't automatically add uniqueness and character to a home if EVERY SECOND HOUSE has one. Please consider that different countries have different design trends, and what might be considered worth saving in one might not be seen the same way in another.

Gorgeous home! Amongst all of the life and creativity and energy I think they've done a great job of making their master bedroom a quieter, calmer space with the dark walls and softer lighting.

I agree with many that we don't need so many close-ups of individual bits and pieces. Photos like the one of the empty vase blocking the stencil don't do this home justice...they make me start to skip over photos and resort back to the thumbnail view to find wider shots.

I love the plant sitting in a bag hooked over a paintbrush balanced on a beam. Genius! The greens go well with that darker wall and all the white light.

Even if someone did move in here AFTER the photos were taken, surely the point is to see how people LIVE in small spaces. Not how the space looks before somebody has moved in.

If I removed all of the books, cutlery and cat hair from my apartment and had a realtor come round, throw some neutral pillows on the bed, add an empty grey vase here and there, and put a fake plant in the corner, I think I could win this contest too.

How do you keep your cat away from those plants?

I think you've done a great job with the colours you've chosen for the walls, the throw rugs, picture frames and artwork etc. (But what is that splat fur/skin on top of the orange throw? I can't figure it out!)

It took me a while to figure out that a few of those Expedit doors are mirrored. I thought I was losing my mind. It's so smart to store the books on the bottom where they hide the bed and to put baskets and doors etc on the top where they can be accessible from both sides. Well done!
