white would definitely draw your attention to the feet. i'd stick with the black! keep in mind if you are vaccuming that rug, or someone goes to sit down and accidentally kicks a leg, the white is going to get ruined real quick.

dellem - the clock is from crate and barrel, i tried to find the link for you and i don't see it on their website anymore. maybe check out a store?

annieo - i am pretty happy with it. it is very straight edge and simply which i like, its a low back so there is no neck support. its exactly a plush chair that you could curl up to and fall alseep reading a book, but i enjoy it as it serves its purpose for extra seating in the bedroom.

k.c. - i actually got the curtians from ikea. i planned on sewing the bottom to hem them, but they also come with iron on hem so it can be a no sew project.

with that white bed i'd say go with the white lamps but paint the wall a color. if you aren't going to paint the wall then stick with the black lamps, the white lamp will just disappear into everything else.

the books are definitely placed where seams would be.

i am interested in doing the same thing in a bedroom and i went to ikea last weekend to get advice. the cabinets come in two doors 30 or 36 inches. if i wanted wooden doors i could get wood paneling (im guessing similar to a wall paper) to cover the sides.

two sets of 36in cabinets with dark oak and paneling (to cover the white) would only be about 160$ not bad.

so my suggestion would be to get the panels to hide seams.
