Nice place, too bad she can't do this kind of work on her show....

stt64 is exactly right. you should have at least two inches of gravel covering the space.

While the equipment is impressive on its own, this is perhaps the worst example of how to spend $6M! For that amount, you can build a full size theater, not something seats 3 and feels more sterile than a laboratory.

Great in theory, not great in reality...

How many times do you open the fridge door/drawer and grab more than one item from multiple shelves? ALL THE TIME! This unit would force you to open and close differnt moduals for each item you needed, given the above scenario.

Also, does each unit have its own compressor? If so, I can't imagine this thing being very energy efficient.

Keep it! don't do anything, I love the beat up look of distressed/used leather.

The matress is actually similar to the memory foam matresses we are used to. It slides vertically up the back side of the unit, hidden from sight, on a track system. Pretty clever.

The problem is not the sink, its your water pressure. reduce it and you won't have this problem.

I love the concept, but I think with a little more work it could be absolutely outstanding. If they can somehow get the pieces to look like they are "floating", perhaps by using more translucent wiring, it would be a knockout.

all in all, I think it is a very clever idea.

You need to put more art on the walls. Larger pieces will help create a visual separation of the rooms and also add more intimacy to each respective area. I would suggest you pick something bold to play off the great wall color!

Really nice design, but I think the touch pad buttons are a bad choice. Part of what almost every mouse user likes is the physical "clicking" action when selecting something. This is why you have certain people that don't mind using the small touch pad on their laptop and others (like myself) that can not stand them...

You can always resend the emails to the landlord, with the additional threat of withholding rent until the issues are addressed. If the Landlord is not living up to their end of the lease, then you have grounds for non-payment of monthly rent until the items are addressed.

You should also write to your neighbor, pointing the very issues you have pointed out here. One of the first rules is to look to see if you have directly tried to address the issue with the applicable party (neighbor). If you can prove that, you have even more room to work with.

I would ask, why can't you allow 36 inches in front of the car? If this is just a prideful sticking point, get over it. You don't want to give them any more ammo on you, than they might already have...

Great idea, bad execution... I have used this in the past, and you are very limited in what you can do. IKEA should really allow you to find a choose all the pieces they sell regardless of the category it falls in. Anyone who has visited one of their stores knows that they interchange rooms all over the place. It would be nice to be able to plan a living room on this software, and pull pieces from the bedroom or office lines if you want.

Great job on this project. I agree that the consistency of cabinet work is spot on. The only thing I may have done differently would be to somehow incorporate the desk into the Murphy Bed. It would save a little more space, but might also be a hassle if you have to move things off the desk space every night. I guess it boils down to personal preference...

Great job!

If the modular/pre-fab housing movement wants to gain some traction, it is simple. Put your money where your mouth is...

I love them, I would buy one if I could, but from a general marketing standpoint, the country knows so little about them. The builders of these newer pre-fab designs need to start developing the same way that companies like Ryland Homes, Pulte Homes or other regional developer/builders do. I would love to see a 100 acre development of nothing but modular, pre-fab homes. That would show people that this technology is just as good as "stick built".

IKEA - Pax wardrobe system has been mentioned above, and I agree. We have used three of them in a row and have the lower half as dresser drawers and the upper half as bookshelves. With all of the different combos available, you're sure to find one that works for you.

Great! more junk... I am completely disappointed with the quality of West Elm stuff. I used to buy PB stuff all the time, and thought that the quality was great. The last few pieces we have picked up from West Elm have been crap. The finish rubbs off or nicks easily, the quality is just not near what PB is, and West Elm isn't even cheap anymore...

The swinging of this table would be as annoying as having a table that is wobbly on one side. Everytime you lean on it, it moves....

Light bulb pendants are cool though.
