I have a bad paper plate habit. I've pretty much kicked the paper towel habit, but I'm still working on the paper plates. I try to compost the plates, telling mystelf that I'm still being good, but I know better! I'm trying to do better. I know my comment isn't helping anyone, I'm just confessing my sins.

OK, what's so bad about having a germy toilet brush? It's not like you're going to eat off it. Keep it in its little holder so it doesn't touch anything else. I like using it to clean the toilet. You don't need a sterile toilet, either. I don't like using disposable paper towels - it feels wasteful. I repeat, What's the big deal with a dirty toilet brush?

I used to leave the kitchen light on whenever I was home, because I thought the light just kind of cheered me up. But I've lately been trying hard to keep it off. And I find that I don't miss it. Now it feels weird to leave the light on! I'm so proud of myself :)

Raisins make carrot cake inedible. Pineapple would make it unappealing, but edible. Nuts are fine, but I think I prefer it without. And it's just not proper carrot cake without cream cheese frosting. Just my humble opinion.

I LOVE my Envirosax (Envirosaxes?)! I have the set of 5 that come in a closeable pouch. I put the whole pouch in my purse when I got to the store (I have a big purse), so I can load all of my groceries in the set (I only go to the store maybe once every 3 weeks, so I buy a lot of groceries). You can take one or two out of the set to use when you need a tote bag for other random stuff or to take when traveling, in case you might need an extra bag for those (environmentally friendly) souvenirs you pick up on your trip. Plus, they are super cute, which is always a bonus. When I use them at the store, someone always asks where I got them.

I lightly spray hydrogen peroxide (straight) on my shower curtain after every shower. This seems to prevent the mildew build-up.

To clean my old porcelain bathtub, I sprinkle kosher salt into the tub, then rub the salt over the surface of the tub with the cut side of a cut lemon. The salt works as an abrasive and the lemon acts as a weak bleach. It smells divine!

I wouldn't try this with a fiberglass tub, though - the salt might scratch the fiberglass.
