Could be worse. Your downstairs neighbor could hear you having sex. We had an upstairs neighbor that was considerate and would take she shoes off and have quiet sex so we didn't hear them as much. They sold their condo to a newlywed couple that had no carpets, clomped around in hard-soled shoes, pulled out heavy dining room chairs and had loud, kinky sex. OMG!

I love this house tour so much! It is realistic, a bit unexpected and so creative. I love that your home isn't that sleek, perfected showroom home. I love the color pallet.

My 3-1/2 year old twins are in bunks. We tried keeping them as separate twin beds but their room was just too small. They do great in them.

The cabinets look great but I agree that your kitchen seems to be lacking some color pizzaz. It is great that you have neutral colors as a base but that means you can go funky with the accessories and linens.

I had the hardest time trying to design a room for my boy/girl set of twins. They shared a nursery together and wanted to stay together when it came time to go into big kid beds. I had to create my own definition of a preschooler's room because robots and butterflies just didn't work. I hit up the flea markets to put together a 1950's co-ed juvenile bedroom with artwork and natural baskets for storage.

We sacrificed square footage and a decent sized yard in order to live in a great walkable neighborhood with awesome schools and parks.

One thing we wouldn't ever give up—2 bathrooms.

I really don't understand the "no crib" thing. My twins slept in their cribs from the day they got home from the hospital until they got big kids beds two months ago.

I love my Diaper Genie. Where do you throw poopy diapers? The kitchen garbage? That makes the whole house smell. We live in a tiny house and the outside garbage is down the side yard and into the alley. Not a walk I want to take every few hours in the dead of winter.
