You can give me the shelf to the left of the closet, if you are trying to make more room. I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands :) Adding Storage To An Already Full Bedroom? Good Questions |

modfan, it is a problem if the parking is bad enough that you have to park several blocks away in any direction. Also, I just moved so don't have a residential parking permit yet.. since I've been home this week, I'm having to move my car every two hours! You can imagine how disoriented I'm getting... also the street cleaning is a really good thing to note on the memo board. A lot of streets around here have 6am street cleaning! patrick, I sure didn't invent the idea of a memo board, but I'm sort of proud that I made it myself, mostly with things I already had lying around the house. I don't have an iphone or fancy gps phone, so I gotta kick it old school. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Look! Aquarabbit's Car Locator |

does anyone know how often Room & Board has their sample sales? I seem to remember that there was one in the fall last year, and I'll be really kicking myself if I already missed it! Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Open Thread 133 San Francisco |

Ok I must need my own cure (head) because I am having the darndest time following these posts. I can't find links to the worksheets that work. I think I am behind before we've even started... not encouraging. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Northwest Fall Cure: Creating Your Vision Week One |

help SF! I am deeply in love with this bookcase/room divider from one of the house tours. Any ideas where I can get one like it? or how hard it would be to find a similar one and have it painted? Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Open Thread 132 San Francisco |

thanks meredith, I did contact one contractor and they said they would come out to give me an estimate for $100. So just getting an estimate really cuts into my budget already! I'm thinking new linoleum may have to be the way to go. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Open Thread 131 San Francisco |

ok, I know people are always posting these "how much does it cost" questions, but as a life-long renter I am pretty clueless about home renovation costs. I am moving into a new place and finally realized how horrifying the bathroom floor is in the new place. However, the bathroom is *really* tiny. Would it be ridiculously expensive to have the floor tiled? And by that I mean by an expert (not DIY)? My dream would be simple penny tiles... my budget is low, but for something I'd be willing to put my bare feet on, I'd consider a small splurge... ok I realize this might be a really dumb question. I am moving into a new place this week and the kitchen tile is white with dark grout. I've looked into some advice on this internet thing about re-grouting, but it all says to hack out the old grout first. If I just want to change the color of the grout (the existing grout is in fine condition) can I just, uh, grout *over* it with white? Or is that like a major grouting faux-pas? I'm anxious to change the look of the kitchen but not anxious to have to hack out grout. Apartment Therapy DC | Open Thread 3 Washington DC |

there was a much cuter version of this "pup tent" on Design Sponge a couple of days ago, but I can't figure out where to buy it... the site they mention doesn't seem to have anything like it. Anyone seen this one before? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Hot or Not: Hound Lounge Indoor Dog House |

ooh! ooh! I just ordered a custom one of these from a seller on etsy... for $15 she printed out the title of my art show, which saved me from having to paint it on. It looks amazing! It really looks hand-done. She even customized the font for me to match the show card. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Wallwords.com |

oh my goodness.. this is so funny. I was telling a friend of mine a bit ago about how as a kid I used to love going to Radio Shack and playing with the princess phones. I had to explain to him what exactly a princess phone was and how very very badly I wanted one as a kid. I also mentioned that as soon as they replaced the rotary dial with the fake push-button rotary, they lost their charm... Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Phone Vault.com |
