Paint the wall a rich blue. Your floral pillow looks like it has a really nice dark rich blue it in that would go well. Then you need to have plants, they always make a room seem more "alive". My cat freaked out when we moved and wouldn't stop meowing in distress. The next day we went out and bought the calming collars they sell for cats and immediately he calmed down.
