Most of us wouldn't choose to live in such a small space, but Santos is out of work in Florida and is renting a $150 room. He is making the most of what he's got with low costs & tetris-like efficiency--good for him.

This is more of a gadget than anything else--it's not aesthetically pleasing & I think I would feel claustrophobic despite the size. I expect to see it in some "retro" 80's bachelor pads.

I love it all, especially the shelves, ladder & bathtub. More photos, please!

I 33rd the black & white theme. I've had that old shade of pink in two rentals now. The first had pink tile on sink & shower walls, so I just went with a black shower curtain, white linens, white cabinetry & painted the walls an optic white. This made the tiny bathroom so bright & always clean.

The second time around was harder--pink sink & tub, beige tiles, hideous beige vinyl flooring, and dark wood cabinetry.I figured that there was so much going on that the less I added, the better. So I stuck with white linens & walls, and added a clear shower curtain & clear acrylic accessories. The result is, again, very clean & bright. However, I am of the philosophy that the less that is going on in my bathroom, the better so this may be too spare. Hope this helps!

Also, you must--must--replace the toliet seat & cover. Easy fix that will quickly remove the worst eyesore.

What about adjustments for short/small people? I love the aeron, but it's just too big for someone of my small stature to sit in properly.

I love the central library! In a city bereft of great architecture, this building is a beacon. The same bond that financed the new central branch also provided funding to upgrade/replace all neighborhood branches, many of which have great architecture & design as well (I have a special place in my heart for my local Capitol Hill Branch). The Seattle libraries & library system are simply great. Projects like these are one of the things that make me proud to be a Seattleite.

I have absolutely no problem unloading the machines. I've always lived in buildings with too few machines for the number of tenants, and you could wait all day for an open machine if you don't unload. I set a timer for the length of each cycle so I can be sure to unload my laundry immediately. I don't expect my neighbors to be as OCD, but I do expect them to be timely. If clothes are sitting in the machine I want for longer than 10-15 minutes, I'm unloading. Do I like it? No, not at all. But I value my time more than my dislike of touching others' clothes.

Hi, Kyle! I may have an old photo of my bed online somewhere. Let me search :)

I have a teak queen daybed currently, and I would probably opt out of it if I had to live in a studio space for the reason lurker2209 noted--it would stand as a centerpiece but wouldn't help create a cohesive space. Additionally, the daybed would require just as many pillows as a non-daybed to be comfortable as a couch.

Does anyone really use the Yesler Terrace moniker? I usually just call it the CD or ID & loosely use Boren Ave & Jackson as the border. Just curious about that one. And does MLK count as a neighborhood of sorts?

Also, Licton Springs? That's a brand spanking new one to this area native/10 year resident. Same goes for Hillman City.

Denny/Blaine is also new to me. I've never heard anyone refer to that neighborhood using that name--it's either Madison or Madrona. If I were to give someone directions using the Denny neighborhood name, they would probably end up in the Denny Regrade/Cascade/SLU area.

1 for adding an outline of actual Greenlake the lake for reference & adding White Center. Incorporated or not, White Center is considered part of West Seattle.

Ork--Cool poster! Thanks for reading my nitpicking. Seattle yelp has a talk thread about this that you may find helpful http://www.yelp.com/topic/seattle-weigh-in-on-the-seattle-neighborhood-poster
