I need tidy and organized, but that doesn't mean stark and dull. It just means everything has it's place, and that I have elbow room.

Podcasts on my iPod, tv shows on my netbook, video podcasts (like 'Good Game') on my iPhone and iBooks on my iPhone too. Yep, I'm covered for my long commute.

Yeah, Kikki has some nice stuff. But they don't have a magnetic paperclip holder.

I need to get the magnetic paperclip holder from 'Typo', it's a little bird, and the paperclips make a nest... but woe, no 'Typo' at Chatswood. I've been looking all over for two weeks for a cool retro paperclip holder.

Professional cat/dog boarding is the way to go in my opinion. Best peace of mind. It's worth the cost.

Oooh, this post has reminded me of the fish salt & pepper shakers that I found in an antique store this year... here I've put up a picture (http://foxsyd.blogspot.com/2010/11/collecting-fishy-salt-pepper-shakers.html ), they are adorable! And I've never seen anything like them before. That's why I like the idea of collecting salt & pepper shakers, sometimes they can be so unique.

Now this is the sort of tv related post I like instead of yet another "how to hide the telly" post.

I dream of creating a home theatre space, am moving to a studio in a few weeks, and will attempt to do so. Though I can't paint the walls, I planning on draping black fabric behind the tv, so eyes a pull more to where the screen is.

My tip for bringing focus to a screen would also, don't clutter around the tv, knick-knacks, pictures around the tv will distract the eye from the cinema experience.

I'm downsizing too, moving to small cabin. And I have this daybed I don't want to lose, that I want to use. At the moment I'm wandering will I be able to fit in the living area, or maybe I'll put it in the garage... or the all screen covered pergola area at front, that *might* be subject to weather.

I don't always like my guests doing what are supposed to be my own chores or hosting duties. There is a little part of my brain that will think, it's a subtle message saying I'm a messy person. I'll get embarrassed.

Also, I'm a straightforward person. When I say stuff I mean it, and I expect the same in return. Those polite phrases people say but don't mean, I don't do that. If I offer to help I completely mean it. If I say I don't want help I completely mean it.

I discovered wearing boots, or even bringing them at all was a huge mistake. By the end of the long flight, I had trouble putting them back on, my feet were swollen, I thought my boots shrank.

Then I never wore the boots during the trip again, and they were a bulky packing item on the way back.

But the squishy neck pillow, so worth it. Oh, and on the flight back, Velcro sandles with warm fluffy socks, were the perfect long flight choice.

I love movies, my ideal home cinema set up would be show off, instead of hide-away. The screen would be the center... and I don't think there should be much clutter around it to distract the eye from the film you are watching.

So whatever set up that will put all focus on screen. Even create an illusion the screen is bigger than it really is..

It's a very lush looking place, I love the colours, especially the green in the kitchen.

Tho' I wonder, where do you sit comfortably watching TV, I notice no couch facing the tv.

Lovely place. I've been saying recently that a bedroom does not need to be large, as you only sleep in there, it's your living that needs the space.

I've learned this the hard way, I have a big bedroom with a lot of useless space. And a frustratingly small living area.

I'm flat hunting at the moment, seeking a significantly lower rent... I'm very willing to give up extra space. Right now I'm in a large two bedroom apartment, I'll very likely be moving into a tiny one bedroom. It's going to be worth it, because at end of the day I'll be able to afford to go on holidays, etc.

I don't think it will be far off from a time where an oven could could scan the contents you put in it, and calculate cooking time, heat, etc, by sensing weight and density, etc.

Or a digital menu selection, is likely already possible. Oven is the perfect appliance to have an installed computer.

That's exactly what I've been picturing I need for the tv for the bedroom, I want it to be easily movable from room to room, and be able to fit players on a shelf underneath... so rolling 'office' cart eh. Now I know what to call it, I can find one easily.
