just looked more closely at the floorplan....seems like it might be a communal bath if it's outside of your apartment? if that's the case ignore my previous statement about it matching the feel of the rest of your space :)

wow. really great space - especially considering how tiny it is. i love all of the fabrics and patterns (tablecloth, rug, pillows..etc) and with that in mind the only space the feels sort of out of place is the bathroom. it's lacking the 'global' character of the rest of the space - a different shower curtain might be all it needs (just a tiny suggestion!)

nicely done.

As someone moving to New Delhi in November I was thrilled to come over to AT and see this post today! (After searching 'delhi' and 'india' on AT a few times over the past few weeks!) I'm hoping to find a place that has great natural light like yours and really hope it doesn't take 40 tries to find it! If you're able to share some of your apartment hunting tips I would love to hear them!

The marble steps are fantastic!

Would love to find out where that gold tea set (shown in the second photo from the top...with the large lamp and green wall) is from - or the make/style. I love gold and have never seen a tea set like that. It's gorgeous.

i've been using a malm dresser and love it. tons of storage for dvds and random plugs. the top provides enough surface for my tv, cable box, a vase, and a large piece of artwork (which is casually propped so it leans against the wall).

it was supposed to be an 'in the meantime' solution until i found the perfect teak mid-century credenza...but i quite like it now....

Nicole is one of my favourite bloggers! She has such great style - as evidenced in her home. Love it all...and the headboard *drool*

i really like this! & i think part of it has to do with the write up - i can relate to so much of it - scouring craigslist for the 'perfect' item, the thrill of the hunt...& being not quite finished :)

you've got some really great pieces (i particularly like the chairs in the first photo!) and that mid-century dresser was a wonderful find! also like the mini (christmas?) lights above the kitchen cabinets...may have to use that idea....

oh yeah - great floor plan too!

i think you have some great pieces - i particularly like your artwork...which reminds me of the images found in the cavallani calendars (some of which i've framed). i also love your rug - i just got the same one this weekend!

agree with above commenter who said you lucked out on the neutral wall paint. it could have been much worse! a yucky builders beige :)

I have the easy step (in all white) and it's seriously such a great little stool. I also got it for 65% off so it was only $4.95 - totally worth it and folds up to store away in the smallest spaces.

This is really great. I love the feminine feel - but it's not too sweet (as others have mentioned). And all of the molding! So lucky & so fantastic. What colour paint have you used on the wall? It's a great shade of gray.

As much as I love this (definitely gave it thumbs up) I can't help but look at the floor plan and play around with the placement of things. For example the storage/shelves in the read area, the bed in storage/shelves area, the settee near the bathroom used almost as banquet seating in the sleep area - with a small table...and then you could another chair or two! ;) for small dinner parties...just a thought. But your way works and is fabulous! Kudos.

LOVE this! I totally understand the hotel comments because it is really chic - but it also looks comfortable & lived in. I love that it has STUFF but doesn't feel cluttered. It feels masculine but not too much (if that makes sense). I love your collection of globes and while I normally like a bit more colour I love how you've kept the palette rather monochromatic but using rich interesting colours (as opposed to all beige!).

Very well done!

(& yay for another Torontonian!)

i was never a pink girl growing up but now, ever since i've moved into my own space, i've become one. i use it as an accent colour around my apartment. the right shade (and the right amount of doses) and it can be not only feminine but also grown up and very 'fresh.'

also depends on what colour you pair it with i think.....

agree with much said above: white balance, no flash, natural light.

then adjust accordingly in photoshop if necessary.
