How Do Microwaves Work?

I can shoot about 500 RAW images on a 4GB SD card with my 6MP DSLR. Pros don't shoot with point-n-shoot cameras. Assuming a 16MP camera the 4GB card will easily hold 250 RAW images. A 32GB card will hold 500 RAW 16MP images. I simply do not see how any consumer is going to shoot 500 images in a single weekend. Maybe 500 images of crap.

Research has shown that people who can't get up in the morning are often people who stay up too late and don't give themselves enough time to sleep. You have the power to fix your situation.

But ... with everyone's school budgets slashed – at least in NJ – why would anyone donate to someone else's school budget other than their own?

When living alone it's very easy to have only one of everything. Get married and that becomes harders. Get some kids and it becomes impossible.

I have my concerns with this. What happens when the power supply fails? Does the door fail into the locked or open mode? If it fails to the open mode then I can come home during a power outage to find my doors fully unlocked and risk robbery. If it failed to the locked mode then I can be locked out of my home during a power outage?

The perfect laptop wouldn't be a laptop at all. Your thinking is too myopic. You assume a world where just having faster and bigger everything is ideal.

For me the perfect laptop is Jarvis from Iron Man. It can be any device I happen to be using at the moment.

@jmilb, iPad/iPhone owners have options:

There is an app for live streaming of MLB baseball: http://mlb.mlb.com/mobile/iphone/

Perhaps the NBA and NFL will do the same.

With the exception of the Boxee and Roku device the rest of these are garbage.

The Western Digital TV Live Hub assumes you already have a large amount of digital content. How did you get it in the first place?

The Logitech Revue is a nerd fantasy.

Like @jmorey above, I took recommend getting a B/W laser printer with Wi-Fi. I found that most people I know hardly if ever need to print in colour and almost never need to FAX/scan anything. The laser toner cartridge cost less and last longer than the over priced ink jet cartridges.

Get a dedicated scanner/fax machine if that is important to you.

@moofie Why water proof something that isn't meant to be used in the bathtub or around water? I never saw any iPad ads with people in a bathtub, sitting on a pool float or swimming with an iPad. Since most people won't use it that way why saddle everyone with the added expensive of something a few will use.

Yep. You were right to be skeptical. A TV hanging over a giant pool of water = stupid and dead.

Your article headline is utter nonsense. A digital scale does not give precide weight control it give precise weight measurements. The weight control is still in the responsibilty of a human. The most sophisticated more precise scale in the world won't help if you don't get up off the sofa and exercise and eat less and more healthy.

You should rename the article "How to mooch Internet access". Most of your tips are about how to get something that cost money — Internet aceess — on some one else's dime.

All conference/meeting rooms, classrooms, building etc that I have ever been in have a clock somewhere on the wall. There is a clock on my computer. There is a clock on the stove, the microwave, the telephone on my desk. I keep my cellphone charged because it's useless otherwise - and it's not clipped to my belt.

I love watches. I have several that I never wear, but I see no reason at all to wear them other than as jewelry.

A watch is solution from a different era. Like the buggy whip, it no longer serves a purpose to anyone but a Luddites.

Why Carrying a Watch Is Still A Solid Idea...
9/15/10 10:59 AM

It only works if the residents of the home respect it. My wifes mother-in-law would constantly interupt her conference calls even when her door was closed. She would just walk right in and start talking. Needless to say her boss and her clients on other side of the speaker phone were not amused. Thank goodness her in-laws moved out.
