Sure, these devices are expensive and hobbled compared to a general purpose computer, but for those of us who love to cook, it won't be the first overpriced piece of kit we've got in there (Le Creuset, anyone?) Love it, especially the vintage ceramics. The store is great, too, though shipping is a bit dear internationally. Does anyone know of a vendor in the states for similar 50s-70s kitchen stuff? I disagree about the comfort factor. The Ikea one really dug into our little one's legs -- she was constantly squirming around. That plus a near-fall from the tipping problem KellyMT mentioned, and we won't be using it for kid #2.
