The bright red Hoosier in our kitchen is my favorite piece of furniture.

I love this. We have our son's kitchen in our kitchen too, but not tucked away nicely like this.

i didn't vote because I'm not sure what "traditional" or "modern" mean when it comes to stockings. I had a woman on Etsy make ours--they're pretty traditional, but they have our names and were made with colorful, custom fabric--for ex., my husband's has bicycles. They are adorable!!

The little pillow looks like a fanny pack to me. :) Love the fabric!

I amazed at the responses to this. We use mesh bumpers because of the arm flinging, head bumping issue. However, I have known smart, educated friends of mine who used the bumpers because they came in the set and look pretty. Apparently you don't get through to some people until a)a child they know dies b)you start to ban things.

I love this, esp the window shades. And what I also love, and I don't mean this to sound insulting at all, is that your pictures don't look like a professional took them. I can't ever get mine lit well either but it seems like nobody else on AT has that problem. So glad you shared X's room. :)

I found that I used the sofa in the very early newborn days so I could watch TV, but as my son got older and needed to be rocked, we got a glider for his room and still use it for story time. I wish we'd had the glider from day one because it really was so much comfier to nurse in. I can see having a bed in the nursery, we just never tried that because I'm pretty happy to sleep on our sofa.

This seems too "big boy" for the little boy in the picture. I understand making changes that can grow with the child, but this seems more like a room for teenager.

I like the last one, I suppose, but isn't it really just a table cloth?

I WISH I had a kid that would sleep anywhere! Mine only sleeps in a crib with the lights out.

He did fall asleep recently on our motor boat. Was the weirdest thing ever and I think it was a one-time occurrence.
