I hate typical nightstands... I got two accent tables in distressed black instead. They each have 2 drawers and fit perfectly on both sides of the bed without as much as an inch to spare. Pretty & Pragmatic: Cleverly Styled Nightstands |

Love the couch, orange piping and all :). They have a cute set of orange metal cans/vases at Ikea now, they would be perfect on the dining room table with flowers. Do I Need Accents that Coordinate with Piping Color? Good Questions |

After we moved into our current rental, we noticed issues with some outlets. Landlord provided electrician to check them all out, please make sure yours are up to code! We also have a 'fake' mantel (fireplace that was closed off years ago) and put an electric stove there. Bonus- extra heat in winter! (oil heating sucks!). Those are kids' wagons.. I suppose if they're safe for kids, they should be fine for herbs... I'd plant flowers though, not an herb person. Plant a Mobile Herb Garden in a Wagon |

I have one kid, soon to be 3 active, hyper, tornado of a girl. Before she was born, we got a sofa sleeper from Jennifer Convertibles in a dark brown leather, we almost went with a 'kid friendly' lighter beige microfiber. Glad we didn't! The sofa survived her reflux infancy and early toddlerhood fine, that's so great about leather, you wipe it off, recondishion and it looks like no disaster happened.. We put away the wooden coffee table when she started crawling around, opted for a cheap faux leather storage ottoman instead. Things she shouldn't mess with are on the top shelves of a bookcase. We're pretty minimalist as long as decor goes, no stuff lying around here. But she's been pretty good about not playing with an occasional vase. She's much more interested in making mess with the dog's food and water. Hardwood floors? Highly recommended! We have hardwoods throughout the living areas now with a small area rug in front of the couch and a play mat for her to play on. We used to have wall-to-wall carpeting in the previous apartment and it never really looked clean, especially with a messy baby AND a messy dog... Now it's easy to sweep daily and mop messes as they appear without busting a steam cleaner. Furnishing the Family Room: How Did Kids Alter Your Choices? |

Not an expert here but I'd think you could find a steel plate that you screw in over that hole,, The middle of the plate would have a place for the screw which appears to be not damaged... Hardware people would know! Is This Chair Fixable? Good Questions |

Definitely a good baby (video) monitor... My daughter, now almost 3 was a preemie and it realy gave us peace of mind when she was a baby. We used it every night after she transitioned from bassinet in our bedroom to her crib in her room. I could get in the shower when she napped and knew she'd wake up or cry. We still use it 3 years later to check on her when she plays in her room - it was definitely a good investment. What Are Your Nursery Must-Haves? Nesting a Nursery |
