Love the room overall. I agree with the first suggestion to swap out the empty frame above the toilet for a porthole. Unfortunately, every time I look at the empty frame, my brain thinks it's a toilet seat hung on the wall. Before & After: Nautical Themed Bathroom Makeover A Cup of Jo |

I agree with the suggestions to change out the lighting and mirror above the sink and add some window treatments (something simple, like a roman shade in a thin texture/colorful fabric that would provide privacy without blocking too much light). I wouldn't paint the water heater above the bath, but I would raise the shower curtain rod closer to the ceiling and get a very long shower curtain so that the water heater is hidden (assuming that it isn't a fire hazard to have the water heater a bit more enclosed). That will also provide some drama/glamour. Decorating Help For Horrid Bathroom? Good Questions |

I agree with stationeryfiend about the Reidar chairs -- horribly uncomfortable. They cut right into the middle of your back. Such a shame. Favorites from the IKEA 2013 Press Preview |

I do think it's a shame that the before couldn't be salvaged, but understand why the peach and pink combo was problematic for the owners. If it had just been peach or pink, I think it should have been saved. Before & After: A Bathroom Goes From Pinky Peach to Sleek and Chic |

@RURAL and RUEFUL: I got the impression that the trees were already gone when they bought the place, and all that was left was the root network. Updated Design for a Cozy Front Porch My Great Outdoors |
