I've found that the most important aspect of any high chair is the straps - get one that has straps that go over the shoulders as well as across the lap - the five point rather than the two or three point ones - the minute they get to the wriggly/crawly stage its a nightmare unless you have the shoulder straps as they can just get out of the lap straps Personal Reviews of the Ikea Blames? Sorry y'all but if I read something that suggests there might be a link between something I was doing and the possible death of my child - even if not proven yet - then I'd seriously consider changing what I was doing. I always seat the kids next to their parents rather than on a separate table - its so much easier for the adults to then keep discipline and help them with their food if need be rather than jumping up and down from the main table Where Will Everyone Be Seated For Thanksgiving?Survey | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

This has obviously worked well for them but co-sleeping with your baby in your big bed is not recommended by health-care professionals as it can increase the risk of cot death - its been reported (http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/oct/14/cot-deaths-sharing-bed-parents) that over half of all cot deaths occurred when the baby was sleeping with the parent either in their bed or on a sofa - its always best to have a separate sleeping place for baby no matter how small your living space is Mom, Dad and Baby Live Happily in 380 Square FeetLA Times | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
