I've found that the most important aspect of any high chair is the straps - get one that has straps that go over the shoulders as well as across the lap - the five point rather than the two or three point ones - the minute they get to the wriggly/crawly stage its a nightmare unless you have the shoulder straps as they can just get out of the lap straps

I recently had a lunch with four other mums all of us with babies in a place that had the high chairs with only lap straps and it was total chaos!!

If they "just need a dusting" I use an old toothbrush - works really well to get rid of dust thats settled on them if thye've been sitting around on a shelf and keeps the pile/plush looking good too

I've never used unsalted butter in my cooking - mainly because you'd be hard pressed to find it for sale in the UK - I use salted in everything, sweet or savoury, and have never had a problem - just go for it!

Sorry y'all but if I read something that suggests there might be a link between something I was doing and the possible death of my child - even if not proven yet - then I'd seriously consider changing what I was doing.

I would never put my child at risk if I could do something simple to prevent it - there no reason you couldn't put a cot right next to your own bed if you wanted to keep the child close to you but still safe in their own area.

Yes this particular article does indicate that drink and/or drugs might play some part too - but, as other posters have indicated, there are no definitive reasons that we know of yet for cot death - so surely its worth taking note of all possible factors - and are all you co-sleepers telling me you are tee-total???

I always seat the kids next to their parents rather than on a separate table - its so much easier for the adults to then keep discipline and help them with their food if need be rather than jumping up and down from the main table

A perfect example of the very people who need this kind of instruction being the very ones who don't care enough to provide it - *sigh*

I would be very wary about giving these out to kids for Halloween - they will be expecting to get candy and swallowing one of these would be no fun for anyone!

This is the only tea I will drink - and what my family has always used - very sweet to see it featured on a US site.

This is not true at all - the strength of a cup of tea is determined by how long you let it brew for - if you're getting "builders" tea from it then you're letting it sit in the water for too long - each type of tea needs a different steeping time - so if you don't like it as strong then pull it out of the water sooner!
I like mine quite weak and PG Tips work fine for me!
