Green Toys is the company and their products are GREAT! My niece has the sand box set, and the tea party set. The tea party set is FDA approved for food.

I am not sure about a real fridge painted like this, but it might be cute on a little play fridge in a play kitchen.

SherryBinNH, You maybe right on the batik(which is creating a pattern on fabric with wax before dyeing - something that can be done any natural fiber) but I am almost 100% that it is velvet or velour.

It actually looks like velvet, most likely silk velvet, that has been printed on or burnished, maybe even burn-out. Also, you can use the bleach pens to make groovy patterns on velvet, but never use bleach on silk velvet, it destroys the fibers! There is a selvage edge so It looks like the fabric is just placed on the bed, but if you can find a velvet that you like it might be a cool DIY to create a duvet cover.

I made one of these mobiles after I saw the original post how to. But I love the black white and red of this one. I agree, the balancing of the mobile was the hardest part. The trick is start at the bottom and work your way up.

I have done this a few times, the last time was a book I found for $3 of pinup girl prints, 3 of them are now in my bathroom. I had no problem ripping this book apart because I bought it for that purpose.
Now, I have been given an old Dick and Jane reader from 1947, the book is in worthless condition, half of the pages damage, but some of the pages are still decent. I bought the frames, but I still haven't been able to cut up the book....

Fabric hoarding can become a real addiction. As a designer, I found that I had a huge mess of swatches and fabric lengths overflowing my studio. I decided to assign a large box for the fabrics I wanted to keep, and swatched the rest of the fabric I decided to get rid of. Along with my other swatches, I organized my swatches by color and fiber in file folders. I limited my fabric lengths so that I only buy fabric I really want or project specific and try to swatch all others if I can for later inspiration.

So, I made a few of these, it took about 15-20 mins per bird (with a sewing machine), start to finish. They were very easy and I lot of fun. I put catnip in one and my cat was very entertained and would carry the bird around the house.

To avoid laundry problems, line dry your matress pad. Not only do you avoid melting it in the dryer, but a good day in the sun is also the best way to freshen the pad.

I would suggest calling a local paranormal research team. Try finding one that is willing to look for other reasons besides it being paranormal (ie plumbing, electrical problems, etc.) Also, many of these teams are willing to try to help spirits move on or bless the house. If anything they can help you feel more comfortable in your home. Here is a place to start if you are in Chicago.
