If it's clean and YOU like it, by all means get it. Don't let other people dictate your tastes. And if you decide after awhile that you don't like it, you can probably resell it for what you paid.

The print is not all that bad. I mean, it could be soooo much worse....

To echo Sharon's comment, I used a black Boby like the one on the right above for years as a tabouret. Although it looked good, it wasn't nearly as functional as it should have been. And yeah, it was expensive.

Now for my pet peeve about Apartment Therapy that happens all the time: things that are referred to in the homeowner interview but aren't shown in the photos, e.g. the $200 ceramic buffalo. I can't see it anywhere in the bookshelves. If it was important enough to mention, let us see it. Don't be a tease!

I especially love the paintings. I spent a summer at Oxy years ago, and I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't even know there was a rock called Eagle Rock! But it's a lovely, laid-back neighborhood.

I would pick up the blue from the tile stripe or use navy, as some others have suggested.
