WOW. Some REALLY SNOOTY comments above. Especially the one from KJANSSON. I personally love the look and think she has pulled it off with some lovely whimsical details. I find it very sad that people will take the time out of their day to write a paragraph about not liking something. WHO CARES what the interior design industry tells you is "in" or "out". And how impressionable are the readers of AP??!! "I just found out white is out of style so I don't like it anymore"??!! Are ya'll 12 years old? Like what you like. Dislike things that don't suit your taste. But don't waste your own time and everyone else's by leaving a comment that says more about YOU than your opinion of someone else's style. Grow up.

YOU MUST DISASSEMBLE!!!

I have moved my expedit bookcases BOTH ways.

The first time I left assembled. They were wayyy to heavy and they were so bulky, and they were damaged in the moving process going around corners, scraping against walls.

The second time I moved I took them apart. SO MUCH BETTER! Keep the dowels in, and you only have four screws to screw in with an allan wrench.

I recommend disassembling because it will leave your bookcases in better condition, you can get more help moving them (people who are not as strong can pick up as many pieces as are comfortable), if you have narrow corners to curve around it is not a problem, and it only takes 20 mins to put back together.

I have done it both ways- I would know!

I have an inexpensive Sultan foam mattress. I like a firm bed but I find that it is not uncomfortably firm. I have had it for 3 years now and it is going strong! Many friends who have slept on it have told me they feel very comfortable. I also had a car accident which caused back pain, and I feel comfortable on my bed. I would recommend trying one of the foam ones- it's especially helpful when moving because you can curve around corners if necessary.

I have everyone beat!!!

I LIVE IN OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA ON INTERNATIONAL BLVD.
1) I live across the street from a fire station. Sirens galore
2) I live in the ghetto (more sirens due to cops chasing criminals)
3) I live in the ghetto (crack heads, drunken people, sometimes prostitutes)
4) I live on a main street, and where I live people think bumping the bass and screeching away is attractive and tough.
5) I live above a mexican restaurant that plays a loud juke box every day.
6) I live adjacent to a Michelin tire store where loud mechanical noises can be heard daily.
7) I live in an ethnic community so I often hear little honks from foot peddling mexican food carts; also I hear lots of "yigh yigh yighsss!" when a particular neighbor across the street is in the mood.

I kind of dislike the neighborhood, but I like my apartment. I just wish I had dual pane windows and more sound isolation.

I live with two other females who are not as clean as me :(

I made a chore chart with a picture frame, and under the glass is the list of chores, with the frequency at which the cleaning should be done (i.e. "Clean Bathroom 1x/wk). Each roommate is supposed to initial and date the cleaning they've done so we can see who's contributing and who is not. It clears up any confusion about what needs to be cleaned and what has been cleaned recently.

The hardest part is getting my roommates to clean things like the fridge, microwave, and toaster oven! One day I will have control!!!

I have had the blue dutch oven for several months. I think it is a great deal, especially compared to other brands (le creuset- really expensive!). My only complaint is that the enamel finish has chipped off, and I am very careful with my cookware, maybe it is not the best quality of enameled case iron?
