Agree with haklc2, the non-soil medium is most likely a combination of nutrients and agarose (purified version of agar-agar). I used to work in a plant genetics lab and we sprouted the plants in petri dishes full of nutrient+agarose mix

I handwash all my sweaters, including cashmere ones. I also washed a silk dress once with no problems. You have to make sure the dye doesn't bleed with certain fabrics - do a patch test first.

You also don't have to buy special sweater detergent either - I just use a gentle shampoo like the ones for colored hair or baby shampoo.

My first reaction was 60's, but, like everyone else, I'm unsure of that answer because of the shag rug.

I really have to wonder about the practicality of the first kitchen - wooden countertops (you can't spill anything!), a rug in the kitchen, and no exhaust fan...whoever uses this kitchen doesn't cook Chinese stir-fries... >_<

I am in love with the shower curtain. I wonder where that is from? It's the perfect combo of happy green, black, and natural tan colors.

I have a navy velvet sofa with a pull-out bed that I got for free! Yay! The only thing I don't like about it is that it looks extra bulky because it doesn't have raised legs that allow you to see under the sofa.

Radiant floor heating throughout the house...totally extravagant.
