Your home is great Caroline! @Wandering Star "A place without a dining table" IS home to many city dwellers that use folding tray tables, kitchen counters, desks, etc to enjoy meals. 90% of "dining tables" end up collecting junk mail anyway. Professional decorators, self-decorated... who cares?! It's a lovely, sophisticated space. I'm sure other entries were professionally done too. Caroline had a say in everything in this home. FINALLY something truly different from the usual entries! A larger table may be more practical but the smaller choice adds intimacy. I'm sure that "dead space" gets used when you hit play on your Ipod (or CD player if you're old school) and slow dance after a long days work ---maybe. Ha. I voted Super-Cool! The kitchen is perfect because updated kitchens are a MUST when it's time to sell since the "decorating" doesn't come with the place (who doesn't get this?). The fly, the boxing sign, sofa, etc. are evidence that you didn't decorate to win contests, you decorated because you've got a sense of style---something that cannot b purchased.
