Seriously, something like this would never be possible for a student to attain in a dorm. The average student couldn't even do this in a rented place, because 99.9% of all student housing is crap... and when you start with crap, you can't end with something like the above. DIY my keester. Not on a student budget.

There really is no masking that smell. If you really can't close the windows, ask your neighbors what they can do about it. If that doesn't work, talk to your landlord about a solution.

I second the razor blade comment. My first thought was that the previous tenants were junkies with really bad design taste! haha

Maybe you could sand the foil off? If it isn't too thick... and then just fill in whatever holes you have with putty, and sand again.

I think by "hidden", they meant "pretty". Kind of sneaky, but oh well.

Wouldn't it be easier to write on your hand, without the aid of a tattoo? I dunno...

May make a good gag gift though.
