If I'm already feeling horrible, I send my husband out for Thai chicken noodle soup from our favorite local place plus a squirt or two of rooster sauce. That stuff plus some gatorade seems to get me up and running next day.

However if I feel a cold coming on... I go with my mom's standby: campbell's chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese. If I couldnt eat anything (she usually tried to see if we were faking by offering up ice cream for dinner) then we got 7up - only time we were allowed soda. I still dont drink soda, unless my stomach is upset and I keep emergency stash of 7up in the fridge for this reason.

If I ever manage to find a nicely priced vintage wonder shredder in good condition, I will love it forever. I always love using my parent's set. (similar to the ones linked above from etsy)

I have the ikea one, and wish it was bigger. Plus being plastic it's only a matter of time before my husband breaks it (although it's cheap enough to replace if he does). We had a plastic one with a handle and was perfect... except that my husband broke it. :(

Easiest vegetable to get your kids to eat at Thanksgiving: whole black olives. Have them eat them on their finger, for some reason it's funny. We always looked forward to it every year and that was the most fought over dish every year amongst us 3 kids.

I find that seasoning the meat just before it goes from pink to brown/grey with a little bit of whatever is going in the dish (cumin & oregano in Mexican, italian seasoning in pastas) gives it a flavor boost.

And thanks to Jamie Oliver, I always grind my own beef. 100% chuck (one with nice marbling) for most recipes, although for burgers I use half chuck and half sirloin.

I'm born at the end of May. So, I was almost always the youngest in my class. By kindergarten, I had already learned how to read, and during reading time I was sent to a first grade class to read with them since I had tested at a higher reading level.

Then, I skipped the 3rd grade, meaning that I was DEFINITELY the youngest.

A big shout out to the principal who tried to talk my parents out of letting me skip the 3rd grade, as he said it would be horrible for me. Hmm, nope, hasnt hurt me at all!

I took AP and honors classes, went to a top 5 high school in the country, played sports, was involved in extracurriculars and had a great GPA and SAT score.

I graduated HS two weeks before my 17th birthday, started college before turning 18 and graduated college in 3 years, just before my 21st birthday (my graduation was end of April).

You as a parent know what's best for your child. Age ain't nothin' but a number.

I inherited my grandparent's Bavaria "The Baronial" China set. It's classic - off white with a simple gold ring. Most of it is in fantastic condition and it's moved 3 times with me, but I've never used any of it, gold just really isn't my style. I don't have any memories of using it, but it means a lot to my mother so I have held on to it.

After getting a cricut and being incredibly frustrated with the lack of options, I craigslisted the cricut and bought the KNK Zing. It's incredible what it can cut, basically anything you have on your computer PLUS you can use the software to cut traces of a picture. I have just been cutting paper and cardstock for scrapbooking and cards, but according to the manufacturer can cut balsa wood, chipboard, and vinyl. Although pricy, it's been a lot of fun and more useful than buying punches and cartridges!

Quick, easy and tastes great reheated. I've tweaked it along the way - garlic and italian seasoning to the beef. I even sneak in veggies and fool my husband by using the Ragu that has 1/2 cup of veggies in each serving.

The only scented candle that my husband and I've found that we both like is cinnamon, but we only use it during the holidays - it just smells SO christmas-y. So, we mostly use tealights from ikea in pretty candle holders.

BTW, you can often find those expensive candles for cheap at TJ Maxx/Marshalls.

Keep it simple. We have taupe walls, a lovely blue patterned duvet (Sand Dollar Percale by LL Bean) and white sheets and pillows. Our furniture (headboard, dresser, nightstands) are all dark wood, and we have simple Black & White canvas paintings on the walls and glass lamps with white shades and a blue ribbon around for trim. For curtains, we have solid blue ones to match the duvet. It's very easy breezy and relaxing - just the way we like it! :)
