I've been taking framing classes for the last couple of years - the same one multiple times, and it's so much fun! Paying for materials at cost (purchased from the shop owned by the teacher's father) and doing the labour myself is definately a plus. I just wish I had some walls to hang everything on now! @liza83: Definately don't try to get paint off of wood this way...the wood will swell and while the paint may come off you definately don't want to expose your wood to that much water. Ikea's Ektorp Armchair is my perfect reading chair. Wide enough to curl up in, with a super squishy back pillow, but with super comfy arms for sitting sideways as well!
