A great post, Maxwell, thank you -- I've been sitting here with a heap of pumpkins and several containers of flowers and greens trying to figure out WTF to do with them. You've given me the inspiration I need. Not all your commenters would appreciate my plans, but the guy who sold me the pumpkins that may or may not be eaten is making a living from it, and we're all helping one another out here.

Really appreciate your take on where the industry is today and how it is changing vis a vis social media and women. Apartment Therapy has of course been a big influencer of this - to the benefit of all. Thank you, Maxwell. I was so impressed by your book and when I interviewed you some years ago for House Beautiful, and you continue to inspire. Hope your East Hampton house is okay... Best to you, Frances Schultz

Such a great thing to do when you're cooped up. Sometimes I just walk around my apartment and think "What if..." and you're right - you can get a whole new look by editing and re-grouping, without buying a thing. Even clearing out a little heap here or there can be totally energizing - thanks for reminding us what "Apartment Therapy" is all about!

Good question, CDTWIST! I had to create an office for my boyfriend in one of my closets and that is about as True Love as it gets in my opinion. But it is not nearly as cute as Mai's. What a clever gal she must be! I'm going to check out her blog. Brava Mai and AT!
