You'll be all glad to hear that the red credenza left the house via a craigslist ad. The guy picking it up remarked as soon as he walked into the house, "Whoa, I've seen this place before." Apparently, he saw the credenza on this house tour for reference to show his girlfriend :-)

It's been replaced by a much smaller, white IKEA metal cabinet.

Another tip for general reduction in water use, is to reduce the amount of every flush in the first place.

I took two old bottles of wine, filled them with water, plugged the corks back in and put them in the cistern. Easy.

Did it 6 months ago and haven't thought about them till now.

@alicat51 The planters themselves are German I believe, can't remember the maker. They were a wonderful discovery at a home decor store in Powell, OH called "Found". As tasteful of a store as any in New York. Super, super cool joint.

We got them from IKEA - we thought they looked cute too but they're actually kinda cheap and crappy.

The light fixture in the bathroom (the long one on the wall) was one of the better choices by the developer.

Yes! The show was a project I'd been working on for many months, shooting portraits of the people that went to New Wave Coffee. The prints were arranged from lightest to darkest in skin tone with a self-written bios by each participant. It was called "CHROMAsome: a portrait of a community."

The letters were from a little home decor store on Milwaukee Ave (forget the name of it now–they have lots of Harry Allen stuff, you know ceramic pigs, ceramic bananas)

The message pad was from here: http://bit.ly/91cPIQ

In reference to image 19, the little bowls are from Villeroy and Boch also. While they might appear to have subtle shading in colour, they're all white. Might just be a mix of reflected colour from the walls around them.

The larger bowls on the left are a mix of old stuff from IKEA and Crate and Barrel.

All the dishes were sitting on a set of IKEA towel racks which we've morphed into dish duty.

WOW! Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Some answers to questions so far:
The coat hooks were from Container Store (cheap!) and we just offset their line up on the wall.

That credenza :-) After almost two years with it, I think we'd reconsider itm if we did it again. We only need it to be half the width it is now. Plus, CB2 furniture I'm learning is just not that well made. At least with IKEA the prices match my expectations.

The dishes were all from Bloomingdales - Villeroy and Boch plain white china - wedding presents :-)

Our mattress (memory foam) was from Room and Board. We heart it madly.

The little white key bowl is a sauce bowl by Eva Zeisel. I forget where we got it.

And yes, finally, we find all the colours to appear very saturated on screen than in real life. Perhaps its a result of going from the original colour space to sRGB for the web?

George
