My goal this year is to clean our storage room that holds all of the things that can't fit in our apartment. I am overwhelmed at the idea of doing that but it has to be done. Thanks for your article it is giving me the courage I need .

Seems you have a lot of work ahead of you but it will be a lot fun and I am sure your mother will love it.

I like your wall color choices and I would definitely paint the green trims to white but don’t block the window with a shelf.

I also like the idea of painting the china cabinets white (that if it’s ok with your mom).

What about a nice mirror in the dining nook (where the two paintings are) to bring in more light.

Another idea would be using two floating shelves in the dining nook to display the coffee set.
