Love it and will add to my idea list for the bird nursery theme I've been working on for "maybe when..."

I have been searching for nesting tables FOREVER. I'd like a set that is mission but not cheaply made. Any ideas anyone?

I think it is lovely and am with the 2 or 3 others who recommend the "wash" look. I lived in a 1720 saltbox where all the wood had been washed in different colors: blue, red, off-white...the knots showed through but it was much more updated than what seems to be the case here. I like the pictures sfumato provided - wonderful.

There is a great product called "milk paint" that provides a lovely wash. Not sure if it works on wood, though.

I agree with bfootnovellista's suggestion to search for recipes by what you have. I have discovered some truly delicious recipes that I would never have thought of, simply by "googling" ingredients I have on hand that need to be used. I am never shy about tossing in a few more veggies and wa-lah - new and delicious meals that use up what I have left after a long week!

It probably depends on the age of the stove...I CHOSE to switch to electric when we bought ahouse because I wanted the glass top - so tired of gunky gas stovetops in my apartments.

I notice absolutely no difference - this may be because all of my apartment gas stoves were not the highest of quality and had the same issues people SAY are true w/electric - the flame was either ON and scorching things or fizzling out.
My new electric stove, on the other hand, is clean as a whistle, heats up just fine, and cooks evenly.

So inviting. I wish I could see those prints a bit more clearly - are they a set or mix/match?

Cool selection!

I have been searching and searching for this clock to fit with our 1920s/30s decor:

Has anyone seen anything similar

I don't see these plates on the website...any idea how to go about getting them?

Never comment but moved to...

thus is my passion for my home town dog !

Thinking of Mustard's Last Stand - near Northwestern...

The hotdogs are exactly as described from the poppy bun...to the grilled skin...to the onions and celery salt...

and the SANS
ketchup!

all other renditions (while tasty) are not true chicago dogs!

Great ideas for getting my blankets off the top shelf in my closet! The mirrors are great, too - any idea where to get something similar?

Love chenille - especially Amy's! I'm partial to vintage - the updated versions seem cheap and tacky. Friends use them at their lake house - a great summer campy spread.

Fabulous! I'm a fan of the rug (and its story) and found your place eye-catching. I love the mix of eras. I wondered about the dining area being so "far" from the kitchen (rather separated by the living area). Have you tried switching those two areas?

It is a funky design (as was your floorplan!) but just too monochromatic for me, despite the poppy green- lofts run the risk of feeling too big and drafty - I feel that here...

Obviously carefully pulled together...not cozy enough for me - I felt chilly as I perused.
