It looks fantastic, but god, it's giving me flashbacks to the time I painted stripes in my bathroom. What I thought would take a few hours ended up taking me DAYS to get right.

How to paint a room! I feel like it's easy to throw color up onto my walls but hard to get it to look great.

How to hang window treatments would be nice too. Ooh, and how to change out a light fixture.

Agreed with the rest on not painting the siding but going wild with the trim and doors. I really like the idea of a dark red, or maybe a navy.

See, that picture is a good example of my issue with West Elm as a whole. It looks awesome and I would totally want my office to look like that. But the moment I get into the actual store and start looking at the pieces individually, I realize I don't really like any of it well enough to want to buy them. *sigh*

As for large letters, found a couple of things:

You could buy them from a sign maker, which is slightly pricey but totally customizable: http://www.woodlandmanufacturing.com/aluminum-letters.asp

Or I found a couple of hits on ebay. Though with those letters you may have to do the distressing yourself.

Thanks for all the suggestions on fabric stores! I've been to G Street, but it just feels so far away, you know? Plus, I've had weird customer service there. I kept getting shooed away.
