Just made up some salad rolls with lettuce, soba, shredded carrot, peas, tofu marinated in a sweet chili sauce. They're really really, yummy. Going to do something with fresh local strawberries later tonight, to remind me why I never ever buy non-local strawberries... These ones are soooo good.

Stiletto-- I think it's meant to be funny. If it said "I'm an omnivore cause bacon is the only kind of meat I eat, so I can't call myself a vegetarian" I certainly wouldn't find it clever or funny.

When I was vegetarian, bacon and Italian sausage were my weaknesses, so I'd eat a leetle tiny bite of those once in a blue moon (oh, so I guess I was never vegetarian). But then when I decided to start eating meat again (more than a bite once in a blue moon I mean) the first thing I ate? VENISON! Interesting choice... don't think I'd eaten it before, never eaten it since.

I had a good one in the middle of the night one time in highschool... There had been a marijuana grow-op bust at a house kitty corner from ours earlier in the week. Then, in the middle of the night a few days after the bust, I woke up to what seemed to be strobe lights flashing all around my room. There were firetrucks right outside my window with rapidly flashing lights-- light came in the window, and reflected off the large mirror on the opposite wall. All our neighbours poured out onto the sidewalks to survey the commotion of the former grow house burning to the ground and the God-knows-how-many fire trucks lining the street. The smell of pot in the air was really *really* pungent...
