I'm Gen Y and have a container garden on the balcony. I like plants that are hard to kill. I don't spend a lot of time in garden shops, but I do enjoy walking around them once in a while admiring the plants (and trying to find one I can't kill). I don't have much time to do anything with the garden, so it gets bare minimum watering and some extra love once every few weeks. I wish I had more time to spend with it, but that's life.

My boyfriend doesn't drink and I think every single person we know has asked him at least once "well why not?" He does get tired of it! Especially since "I'm just not interested" doesn't appear to satisfy anybody's curiosity.

The new color looks awesome, but the new wood floors really make it work. Imagine the blue with the linoleum in the first pic... not so great.

Also, vacuum cleaners - we have the Miele Neptune canister vac and I've been very happy with its performance.

Thank you so much amberm and mrdarcy for your reviews of the washer/dryer combo! We have a stacked 24" washer/dryer in our condo that needs to be replaced and I've been wondering if the combo units are any good!

When you say drying takes a long time... just how long are we talking about? Our dryer currently takes at least 45 minutes.

I usually go to a masseuse who works out of her home, but when I can, I will go to a spa or gym and book a masseuse I know and enjoy. I arrive around 45 minutes early and use the steam room / sauna / jacuzzi / pool, and take a quick shower before my massage. Then another shower after the massage and back to the steam room for as long as I like!

Hotel spa massages are usually kind of expensive, but our local gym has a masseuse with quite reasonable rates and the same facilities as the spa (although not as swanky!)

I love what you did with the back wall! The dark gray paint and natural woven texture on the 3 wooden sections makes that wall look like a detail you planned from the start!

Why doesn't AT ever post polls on this type of post?

In order of importance to me:
Is it a good value? Is it comfortable? Will it last? Is it easy to take care of? Is it not hideous?

I'm sad that the photo for this post wasn't a picture of Arkham Horror on your dining table.

I'm a feather. Running the fan all night helps. I pack earplugs to sleep when I travel because I know otherwise I'll be woken up in the night by either a random sound or the unusual silence. If I'm having trouble falling asleep at home, the earplugs help too.

I heard about this idea a few months ago and got all excited... but I haven't actually gotten around to doing it yet, so my photos continue to collect dust on my hard drive.

@North Bay, our rabbit is just the same... we covered all of our cords with clear, flexible plastic Critter Cord that is supposed to have a bad taste. He still chewed on it despite the supposed bad taste, but at least the cords have an extra layer of protection. It's not an awesome decorating decision, but the cords are mostly behind furniture anyway.

How funny... you are totally right! We still don't have one because I can't find the Goldilocks couch! Buying a condo and a car was no problem in comparison. Even remodeling the kitchen got done, but still no couch!

When I was a kid around 5 years old we used to play with old circuitboards, although this was now 20+ years ago so they were probably not from computers or monitors, more likely VCRs. It was great fun.

People I know never listen to their voicemail. I leave a message because I have information I need to relay to them, I never just say "call me back" or "I'm sending you an email". They call back because they see that I called, and say "Did you call me?" because they can't be bothered to press 1 and enter their voicemail password, even though they can see that I left a message, so I have to repeat everything I said on the voicemail.

These round sandwiches are called flying saucers in Hawaii. But they have meat sauce in them along with the cheese. I love them.
