I bought the West Elm pintuck cover and found it to be poorly thought out... Tiny rips happen all the time from normal use because there are so many individual sections sewn up with very little string. Just a head's up before someone wastes $100! If you aren't actually going to use it while sleeping it's lovely, however.

This does look handy! Unfortunately, I suspect this also is not a particularly affordable investment for an apartment-renter, based on the lack of price listed.

Lots of people in loving relationships go through hard times. It can be discouraging looking for a job right now, and I think it's fine that she supports her bf. We don't know the details of his work-search; why assume the worst?

I also want to know what the difference is between these "man caves" and "rooms in homes." And wasn't this blog started by a man?

When I was born until I was about 5 or 6 my parents and I lived in a studio house behind another house. I think it's totally classist to say that living in a small space is cruel to children. Not everyone is loaded with money; that doesn't necessarily make them unfit parents.

This post sounds like a book report, and it's full of punctuation issues. I understand that comes up sometimes when people are posting multiple times a day, but this is to the point of distracting from the subject matter. Actually, now that I look at the other posts by Monika, they ALL read like this. I expect more from an internationally-known blog.

I am not super into the idea of just copying an entire apartment you see glorified online. So many places look the same.

On the same note, I think it's sad when I see a room full of uncomfortable-looking but stylish furniture.

I am also annoyed a lot by people saying something is "so ugly" on this site. Obviously things are subjective, but does anyone ever want to hear that someone hates their home?

I LOVE seeing how different people deal with normal life clutter and needs.

I definitely agree that you should try giving them a little treat and leaving a note that says you're planning this party and it's a once-a-year thing and asking them to please excuse any excessive noise for this one night. If they have advance warning maybe they can plan something that will keep them out of the house until late.

If you're having a lot of parties though, they're not likely to be sympathetic. You can try asking your building manager if he thinks you're too loud, and attempt to get him on your side, which might help in dealing with the neighbors.

The police will just tell you to keep it down, but it kind of quashes the mood.
