Not an issue around here...I can't stand the sight of cords and strive to hide every square inch (lots of them lurk behind pictures or are tucked into the baseboards) and just the other day put together a basket for all misc. electronic stuff the kids use...feelin' good!! Thank you for sharing your room-there are some fun changes and you must love waking up to a brighter, fresher space...but can we just talk for a second about the elephant in the room?? There are furniture and style "mixes" that seem to effortlessly work and then there are those that don't...to me, the BED just seems so out of place, making the other wonderful more funky pieces seem diminished and less than they could be-my first thought would be paint it (gulp) white but with the all white walls, it might disappear totally-maybe a dark charcoal sorta distressed finish?? And then splash some big-ass horizontal stripes on the armoire and it's all good! (IMHO) Before & After: A Beige Bedroom Makeover |

Interesting how we all see so differently...the white fireplace, to me, looks wrong-would look so much sleeker with the mantle and the brick painted out dark grey or black-there's enough wood elsewhere to keep things warm...beautiful space regardless! You have so many really nice pieces in your room-it really is just the placement that is off-my first thought is to switch the bed and the tv around-the bed should be the focal point, not the t.v.-the lamps and tables they are on would look suitable flanking the bed-I would work the art into a grouping over and around the tv and cabinet-I'd probably lose one of the chairs-they kinda look like they're just "decorative"not functional-I'd add a brightly colored throw and a different pillow as well- Help Me Create a Modern & Romantic Bedroom?
